Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimation Executive to join our team. The Estimation Executive will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for firefighting system projects, ensuring that all proposals meet client requirements and align with company profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fire protection systems and experience in estimating projects within the construction or engineering industry.

 Location: Mumbai, India

Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, drawings and other technical documents to understand project requirements and scope of work.
• Conduct site visits if required and assessments to gather information relevant to project estimation, including existing conditions, access points, and potential challenges.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop project proposals that meet client needs and specifications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for firefighting system projects, including material quantities, labour costs, subcontractor expenses, and overheads.
• Research and analyse market trends, material prices, and labour rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and negotiate favourable terms for materials and services.
• Present cost estimates and proposals to clients and participate in bid meetings and negotiations as needed.
• Track and manage the status of proposals and follow up with clients to address any questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of projects from estimation to execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field, additional certifications in estimating or project management preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimation, preferably in the firefighting system integration industry or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
